Forte Group is looking for a skilled Chief Accountant/ Senior Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
General accounting operations and assistance for the Finance Team in the month-end close accounting.
Monthly reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and financial reporting.
Preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and tax returns (VAT, CIT, PIT)
Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports.
Monitoring monthly and annual financial accounts according to US-GAAP and local accounting standards, as well as month-end and year-end closing processes
Auditing all receipts to ensure accounting accuracy, investigating and resolving irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.
Registering invoices in e-KFS
Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information
Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy and truthfulness.
Ensuring that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping (incl. documentation in paper form).
Keeping employees' records (in both electronic and paper form), introducing new hires into the system based on documentation provided, and reporting on necessary checks, training, or examinations for them.
Calculating the correct amount of salary (incl. collecting information on the number of hours, overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc.), preparing pay orders within the electronic system), distributing paychecks
Calculating taxes, employee benefits, etc.
Addressing issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors and preparing reports for upper management, finance department, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related field.
At least 5 years as a senior accountant.
Proficiency in accounting and business management software (enova365, Symfonia, etc.)
A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (such as local GAAP/UoR), and taxation is essential.
Familiarity with auditing processes and procedures. Experience conducting internal or external audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll manager
Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field (Labour Law) and understanding of payroll practices
Proficiency in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
Proficiency in Polish and English, outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.
